I was looking for a really long pair of socks. I wear them while deadlifting so that I don't scrape my shins (or at least that was the idea...). They seem to do the job. Good tension, they stay up on my shins well. Not too hot, but a bit thin material. The soles are well cushioned and comfortable, but a bit bulky. If you have tight shoes they may not fit with these socks. Overall, I'm happy with the socks. I'm 6'1 and they make it all the way up to the bend under my knee.
