Not nearly has hard to put together as people were reviewing, and the while the plastic and cardboard is a bit flimsy it is not bad at all and I LOVE that there is no stickers or things of that nature.... the only thing that was upsetting was that when I first saw this it was less money and less by quiet a bit, then when I went online and purchased it had gone up in price for the Holidays to the same price as it was in the stores. I didn't like that at all. I thought the whole point of Amazon was to have the better price and if that was the case then I could have bought it in the stores where I had been a 100x and returning it would have been a whole lot easier if I needed to. But my daughter LOVES IT and plays with it all the time. I will warn you it is HUGE. It says it is big and it gives you the dimensions but you really don't get how big it is until it is set up.This was a gift for my daughter's 7th birthday. Thank God I found a warehouse deal and paid only $75 because I am SO disappointed in this playset. The box was still sealed (had never been opened!), with one minor small puncture that did not affect what was inside. Unfortunately, it was packaged at the factory improperly because several of the cardboard inserts had holes smashed through. None of these holes were anywhere near the hole on the outside of the box, FYI. Several times when snapping parts together, the plastic broke off. The quality of this set is shameful. With an original pricetag of $150, pieces should not break from putting them together. And I was as gentle as I could be. . . the molds simply do not align properly. The sad part is that I'm stuck with these broken, punctured parts. I have no doubt the manufacturer would send me new ones, but my daughter wants to play with this NOW, not in two weeks. And I am not interested in taking this behemoth apart ever again. . . she is super happy as it is detailed and lovely to look at and play with. Unfortunately, it is cheaply made and packaged.UPDATE: I contacted Mattel, and they are sending a replacement cardboard backing for the piece that was punctured the worst. Because the base that broke is not available I had two choices: return only the accessories and receive a brand new set, or keep it and get a $20 voucher for any toy store. My daughter wouldn't part with those prized accessories, so we chose the voucher. While I am still disappointed in the durability of the playset, I am satisfied with the end result.After reading some of the reviews about the size I was a little concerned as to where we would put it once it was all put together, luckily we had an extra coffee table that it fits perfectly on. My daughter has had so much fun playing with her dolls in the "castle." School has definitely been in session for her dolls. The built in doll holders are great for when she wants to play with more than what her hands can hold. There are many accessories that come with it including a couch, chair, lunch table, podium with microphone, creepateria tray, and desk.It took 30-45 minutes for my husband and I to put it all together which with the size of it and purchases of previous doll houses was great. There are no stickers to place which to me was wonderful.I would suggest this for any Monster High lover as it will bring so much fun.This playset is much larger than I expected!! It is 4ft X 5ft, but thankfully, the sides fold in and it is only about 2ft wide, but it is tall! The directions are not very clear (which I have found to be an unfortunate consistency with all Monster High items that need assembly), BUT thankfully, it was pretty easy to figure out. There are a ton of pieces and it took approximately 45 min to put together but it was well worth it. If you have little kids and big kids, please put it together in an area away from the little kids because there are a ton of unperfectly head sized plastic bags which the pieces come in and seem to be a magnet to little kids. The house has about 10 spots where the dolls can get attached to the playset. The pictures give the greatest explanation about the details of the house. Awesome purchase!!!!This thing is pretty impressive put together. It supposedly can hold 14 dolls for display, although we don't have 14 to try it out and see how full it looks. It was super easy to put together as all of the pieces are quite large. There's a lot of fun little things to interact with, like a wall that's really a hidden passage, the purple door of the tower pulls down to reveal a room up there, and you can open the crypt attached to one of the stairwells (where you can put one of the dolls).My daughter's been having a lot of fun playing with her Monster High dolls with this. I've included a picture of the final product (by the time I turned around with the camera there were already dolls on it!).This was one of my girls big Christmas presents, ages four and seven. This is an absolute disaster to get the process of assembly together. The directions have pictures but are really just more confusing than helpful. It took me about two hours to completely put together, but once I got it going it wasn't TOO bad, the hardest part was the beginning. The actual Monster High Deadluxe High School is awesome !! It's a sturdy "dollhouse" which is always nice to find. We have about ten Monster High dolls in there right now, and have plenty of room, it's also a very good size, both of my kids can play in it comfortably. My daughters love it, I definitely recommend this to others, just be prepared for the assembly process!Bought this for my granddaughter for her 7th birthday. She went crazy! She has a LOT of monster high dolls. She and her sister play with it like crazy. It semi folds up to take a little less space when not using it, but not compact. There are a lot of rooms, including a hidden one behind the clock. Draculaura's room has a chair that is upside down that will hold her, and foot straps as well for the same. I did not assemble it (my daughter - her mom did), so can not comment on assembly time. Purchased when it was gold box offer, so got great price, but they way she loved it, worth the regular price.Awesome play set. My daughters 6th birthday was 2 weeks after Christmas, for Christmas I got her loads of dolls and planned to get this for her birthday. Managed to get it for £90 from Amazon warehouse. Took a while to put together,but easy enough once you start. It's huge, so the dolls fit in nicely. Had to google pics to see where the furniture went. We're used to wooden dolls houses so was wary about it being plastic, but it's really sturdy. I have a 4&6 year old playing it with daily for last 2 months and it's still like new. Attention to detail is amazing, especially on the food court area.Please be aware if you order this item that it DOES NOT come in a concealed box!! I ordered for my 5 year olds Christmas but had to give it to her as when it was taken out the delivery van she saw the box and new exactly what it was. Now have to pay more money out to replace the present very disappointed!Bought as a Christmas present for my 8 year old... she loves it! Make no mistakes this thing is huge; takes a little while to set up too but the instructions are good. It is pretty lightweight but sturdy enough for what my daughter uses it for. It has made for many hours of fun - well worth buying!It's big and amazing! My daughter loves it!Just one issue - the assembly instruction is not clear and it took me an hour to assemble it.Perfect for any monster high fan - but it is tall and wide, so it will take up a lot of room.
