A great finale to the original Love Live TV show. Be warned this is a continuation and conclusion to the original show, that finishes up with the girls of Mu's, and more or less sets up the reason for the follow up show Love Live Sunshine (although nothing from Sunshine appears here.) I would strongly suggest watching the original 26 episode TV series first. Otherwise you will feel like you came in late.The movie more feels like it was originally planned as a 2-3 episode story arc, with three distinct sections to it. By and large they are great. especially the first which is the cast being sent on a trip to Manhattan. It is so much fun you wish they had explored it more. The musical numbers are a bit strange. They cut oddly from the normal down to earth "real life schoolgirls performing" aesthetic of the show to a more stylized 'Super Magical Idol Girls" look and feel from games and media. It made some feel awkward. The last song in particular looks and feels like a video game cutscene. But the climactic Sunny Day song is worth the price of admission.
